This movie looks like a lot of fun.
Shane Black is the undisputed king of buddy cop movies. His credits include writing for the Lethal Weapon franchise, writing/directing Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and writing/directing Iron Man 3. It’s safe to say buddy cop films are Black’s primary wheelhouse. The first trailer for The Nice Guys came out of nowhere and i absolutely loved it. This newest trailer only increases my excitement for the film.
Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe in this noir murder mystery set against a 1970s back drop. A private investigator (Gosling) and hired muscle (Crowe) must team up together to solve the case of a missing girl and the death of a porn star.
I think this film looks like its going to be hilarious. Gosling and Crowe appear to have fantastic chemistry together based on the trailer alone. I’m a big fan of both of these actors, and it looks like its going to be a lot of fun to watch them play off each other within the confines of Black’s script. There’s a hell of a creative team behind this picture, and so far I’m loving everything I’m seeing from it.
