After Star Wars: The Force Awakens finally being released on blu ray, Rogue One begins its behemoth of a marketing push.

The first glimpse at Disney’s upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story just dropped, giving us a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it look at one of the stormtroopers in the film. It left us with the promise of a full length trailer releasing tomorrow morning on Good Morning America. Disney certainly didn’t waste a second after The Force Awakens released on blu ray. Check out the short teaser for yourself below:

It literally lasts two seconds, but it’s crazy how much those two seconds are able to excite me. The new black stormtrooper looks really slick, and looks to be a natural link between Episode III’s clone troopers and Episode IV’s stormtroopers, which makes sense as the Rogue One takes place in between those two films. Not much is known about the film outside of that, other than rumors of Darth Vader making an appearance, and director Gareth Edwards describing it as a “war film”.

I’ve been eagerly anticipating our first look at the film for a while, as it will be our first entry into Disney’s world of Star Wars anthology films. Many questions remain about this slate of spin offs Disney has announced and how exactly they will affect the Star Wars universe, and Rogue One will begin to give us our very first answers. I know I’m going to be refreshing my browser tomorrow until the trailer is on YouTube.

Rogue One stars Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Ben Mendelsohn, Alan Tudyk,Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, and Jiang Wen, and is hits theaters December 16th, 2016. Mark it on your calendar folks.
