If you’re a fan of a particular Batman villain, there is a good chance you will see them.

Warner Brothers isn’t doing so hot right now. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ended up being a critical and financial disappointment (to put it lightly), The Flash just lost its director, and there are rumors that James Wan might jump ship from Aquaman. But WB still has there ace in the hole: Ben Affleck’s Batman. And it appears they have big plans.

A report coming out of Birth.Movies.Death states that Affleck and Geoff Johns (who is helping Affleck on Batman) are looking to make their Batman film the definitive Batman film. Just how you may ask? By featuring many if not most of Batman’s rogues gallery in the film. Have a favorite particular bat-villain? Well, there’s a good chance they’ll at least make an appearance in the film, if rumors are to be believed.

Now that isn’t to say they will all play a major role, if you had to ask me I’d bet that a large majority of the villains in the film will merely be short cameos. Something along the lines of a montage of all the villains locked up in Arkham Asylum, with focus on one or two main villains.

I’m strangely okay with this. It works with WB’s plan of developing a universe that has already exist for a while, dropping the audience in the middle of the story so to speak. Batman has arguably the best rogues gallery in comics, tied with Spider-Man, so it would be cool to at least see a small cameo from many of them.

Although given the Batman we had in BvS, it’s a wonder that any of his villains are still alive.

I jest. Sorta.

What do you think of WB’s plan to include all the bat villains? Think it’s a mistake, could they be over stuffing the film? Any particular villain you hope makes an appearance? Let me know in the comments below!
