The Doctor is in.

It’s Comic Con which means a ton of new trailers, one which is the second trailer for Marvel’s upcoming Doctor Strange. And unsurprisingly, it looks freaking great. Check it out:

I was already pretty sold on the movie, but this trailer just made me that much more excited. It just looks so different and unique, not just to the rest of Marvel’s slate, but to most super hero films in general. It’s so trippy, almost psychedelic. It looks like it has taken a few design queues from the crazier portions of Inception. The action scenes look like they are going to be pretty nuts in this film, and I can’t wait to see them go further down the rabbit hole of insanity.

Benedict Cumberbatch looks to embody the role of Steven Strange, and while I thought it would be weird to hear him with an American accent it actually fits him quite nicely. We also got some more looks at Tilda Swinton’s Ancient One, and Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Baron Mordo. They both were inspired casting choices, and from the looks of it they will nail their roles as well. Hell, Ejifor’s character gets the best line in the trailer. I’m excited to see how he and Cumeberbatch bounce off one another.

We got a much better look at Mads Mikkelsen’s character. I’m still unsure of who exactly he is playing, but he’s pretty creepy looking. Hopefully Marvel is able to pull themselves out of their rut of poor villains, as Mikkelsen’s one hell of an actor to waste.

All in all, this was a pretty great trailer. Doctor Strange had almost fallen off my radar with how little info there’s been since the last trailer, but after this I’m counting the days until it hits theaters November 4th.
