In which He and The Douche vie for the same girl.
The trailer for the upcoming Starz Digital film My Blind Brother released today, and it stars Adam Scott as said blind brother, a blind athlete who relies on the help of his brother, played by comedian Nick Kroll, to help him compete in various competition. However, Scott’s character attributes all of his success to God, complete ignoring the help of his brother. Yeah, he is a bit of a dick. Things are further complicated wants they both fall for the same girl, played by one Jenny Slate.
Here’s a trailer:
This looks pretty decent. The trailer made me chuckle a few times, and it looks to be entertaining enough. The trailer lies a tad on the side of a run-of-the-mill indie comedy, but there looks to be enough enjoyment factor warrant a watch. That being said, I love Adam Scott and will watch him in almost anything, so I may be a tad biased. The film’s got a great cast, and has the makings of a fun romantic comedy.
Let’s get a synopsis up in here:
Nick Kroll, Adam Scott, and Jenny Slate star in this hilarious comedy that takes sibling rivalry to new heights. Bill (Kroll, Adult Beginners, Date Night) has always lived in the shadow of his overachieving brother Robbie (Scott,“Parks & Recreation”, The Overnight, Step Brothers), an arrogant athlete and local celebrity who happens to be blind. After years of thanklessly helping Robbie achieve one goal after another, Bill finally catches a break when he finds a connection with the charming Rose (Slate, Obvious Child, Zootopia), who is dealing with her own crisis. But when Rose starts dating Robbie, Bill must decide if he can finally put his own happiness over his brother’s and compete for the ultimate prize. Also starring Zoe Kazan (What If, Our Brand is Crisis).
We’ll be able to check out My Blind Brother in theaters and on demand September 23rd.
