The latest effort from Christopher Guest.
Netflix sure is killing it lately. They’ve teamed up with director Christopher Guest for his latest film, Mascots, a film focused on the competitive world of mascot-ing. Before you even ask, yes, it looks hilarious. And yes, I will provide you the new trailer.
Here ya go:
As usual, a Christopher Guest film looks hilarious, featuring his dry humor that we’ve all come to expect. This trailer really got me excited for this film due to the fact that every single joke in landed for me! That’s pretty difficult to pull off in a trailer for a comedy film, but this looks to be another solid effort from Guest. The film looks absolutely absurd, and as usual is filmed in his signature mockumentary format.
Here’s a synopsis in case you need more convincing:
Mascots is a new comedy from Christopher Guest, director of Waiting for Guffman and Best in Show. Starring many of his regular troupe of actors, this latest film takes place in the ultra-competitive world of sports mascots where they compete for the most prestigious award in their field, the Gold Fluffy.
Yeah, I’m totally on board for this! This Netflix/Guest pairing looks to be a fruitful one, and I’m excited that we’ll get to check this out relatively soon on October 13th!
