Is that Nite Owl?
So our good friend Zack Snyder gave us a bit of a sneak peek today at Batman’s new look via his Twitter account. Let’s take a looksie shall we (just in case you’re one of the weirdos who ignore header images):
“Hey Zack, everyone seems to have very mixed opinions on Batman v Superman.”
“Yeah, I know.”
“But people really seem to love this Batman at least. He looks ripped right out of the comics.”
“People are responding very well to Batman.”
“Besides the murder.”
“Yeah, I know.”
“Look, I know we got the costume perfect the first time around, but we don’t want to repeat ourselves now do we? We gotta stay fresh. Innovative.”
“Really? I think costume is fine as is. It’s simple, faithful, and iconic.”
“No no no. We gotta change it. You made Watchmen right? I think you did. That was pretty good. I liked that Nite Owl guy in that. Can we make Batman look like Nite Owl?”
“What? Why would we do that? We got it right the first time. Why would we want him to look like Nite Owl? No one even cared about Nite Owl. The only character people liked was Rorschach.”
“But Zack cmon! We gotta sell more toys, which means more batsuits. Name it like the tactical batsuit or something.
“When is Batman not being tactical. Is his normal batsuit for lounging around the house? This doesn’t make any sense.”
“Just make him look like fucking Nite Owl alright.”
Justice League hits theaters November 16, 2017.
