Oh this’ll be good.
Coming out of a report from Dark Horizons, Evangeline Lilly (Ant-Man, Lost) and Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation, Step Brothers) to raise their own little baby Satan in the new horror-comedy for Netflix titled Little Evil. The film will be helmed by Eli Craig, director of the severely undervalued horror-comedy Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, and is set to hit the streaming service sometime next year.
Let’s get a synopsis up in here:
Scott plays Gary who just married Samantha (Lilly), only to find out that her six-year-old son (Owen Atlas) is the Antichrist. Donald Faison, Chris D’Elia, Brad Williams, Bridget Everett, Clancy Brown, Marcus Terrell Smith and Tyler Labine also star.
Sounds good. I’ll literally watch Adam Scott in anything (well, besides Hot Tub Time Machine 2), especially when he’s actually allowed to be funny. This film has one hell of a premise, and I’m excited to see how Lilly and Scott play off one another. Along with those two, the cast is fulled out with a large number of equally funny people, which is even more encouraging.
If you haven’t had the pleasure of watching Craig’s Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, drop what you’re doing and go watch it. It’s one of my favorite horror-comedies to come out recently, and really exhibits Craig’s talent at playing with said genre. There isn’t much more info to dig into at the moment, but this is definitely a film that will be on our radar. Stay tuned.
