I don’t think many of us need another reason to get pumped about Shane Black’s (The Nice Guys, Iron Man 3, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) Predator reboot, but just in case, here’s one more.
According to /Film, famed director of photography Larry Fong is teaming up with Black to shoot The Predator. You may know Fong from his cinematography on films such as Batman v Superman, Watchmen, and Sucker Punch. He’s pretty much the reason Zack Snyder’s films always look so damn good. Fong also worked on the cinematography for the upcoming Kong: Skull Island, which looks to be yet another visual delight.
I’m so into this news. The Predator already has a wealth of talent behind it with Shane Black running the show. Now that Fong has joined the team, it’s beginning to look like this film is going to be a knockout.
We have quite a ways to go however. The film is currently slated for February 9th, 2018. It’s going to be a long wait. The only question is, how will Black incorporate Christmas?
P.S. I would like to tragically remind everyone that we almost had Benecio Del Toro in this film. Oh what could have been.
