In the distant year of 1989, this little movie known as Batman released, with this little actor known as Billy Dee Williams playing this tiny little character known as Harvey Dent. For those of you not well versed in Batman lore, Harvey Dent is the identity of classic villain Two-Face. Whilst Dent did not become Two-Face in that original film, the franchise was laying the groundwork for this to become a reality.
Unfortunately, the universe is an unfair and uncaring place, and Williams was replaced by known comedian Tommy Lee Jones in the obvious highlight of the franchise. This little nugget of news, in what can only be assumed is self-correction on the universe’s part, comes straight from director Chris McKay’s Twitter mouth:
This voice cast is already filled with a wealth of talent, with Will Arnett as Batman, Michael Cera as Robin, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, and of course Zack Galifianakis as The Joker. The addition of Williams is simply the cherry on top of an exceedingly sweet cake.
The LEGO Batman Movie is set to blow every DCEU film out of the water on February 10th. Mark it on your calendars folks.
