The first trailer for A24′ latest horror film, The Blackcoat’s Daughter, has finally hit the web! If you’re into Satanic Panic type horror, this will probably be right up your alley.

Check it out:

I’m so into this it isn’t even funny. A24 has a stellar track record. Consider their 2016 releases for a moment: The Witch, Green Room, The Lobster, Swiss Army Man, American Honey, Moonlight, and 20th Century Women.

Seriously, it’s come to the point where I’ll see anything they release. They put out some fantastic stuff and The Blackcoat’s Daughter looks to be no different. In fact, it looks fantastic. I’m always down for intense slow burn horror and this film looks to have it in spades. Though, I’m still not 100% sure what this film is actually about.

Maybe a synopsis will aid this:

An unidentified young woman makes a pilgrimage to the site of a demonic possession at an all-girls boarding school in the dead of winter.

Huh, not too much to go on, but hey, color me intrigued. They’re obviously keeping tight-lipped on the plot for a reason. Maybe the less you know going into this one the better, eh?

The Blackcoat’s Daughter is getting a DirecTV release (weird) very soon on February 16th, with a theatrical release of March 31st.

I’m definitely going to be checking this out when I get a chance, but what about you guys? You into this? Let me know in the comments below.
