New ‘Colossal’ Poster Wants to Wish Everyone a Happy Valentine’s Day
Yeah, I’m going to need a way to buy this thing ASAP.
Film. Dissected.
Yeah, I’m going to need a way to buy this thing ASAP.
Colossal, the upcoming Kaiju Anne Hathway vehicle, is a film we here at Caffeinated Film are very much looking forward to. NEON is releasing writer/director Nacho Vigalondo’s Colossal just a few short weeks, and as a gift to us on Valentine’s Day, we’ve been treated to a brand new poster for the film, befitting of the holiday.
Check it out:
I love it. It’s a bold design that perfectly captures the goofy tone we’ve seen in the trailers (which you can check out here) as well as not-so-subtly hints at the fact that the monster is controlled by Anne Hathaway. Plus, it’s just a pretty freaking cool looking poster.
I love close to the chest NEON is playing Colossal’s cards in their marketing. Word on the street is that this is a film you need to keep your eyes on, folks.
Here’s a synopsis:
Gloria (Anne Hathaway) drinks too hard and parties too much. Her boyfriend has enough of it and throws her out. Gloria returns to her hometown, dreaming of making a new start, but instead revives her childhood friendship with Oscar (Jason Sudeikis), who runs a bar. After drinking a night away with Oscar and his friends, he wakes up to discover a gigantic monster rampaging through Seoul and realizes that somehow the monster is connected to her.
Sounds good. We’ll all be able to finally see Colossal in theaters April 7th.
