A new poster for Alien: Covenant was just unveiled, and oh man is it incredible. Check it out:
This thing is absolutely gorgeous, and maybe be one of my favorite movie posters to come out recently. Gone is the usual terribly photos-hopped lead actor, instead they went with something with more artistic integrity. Seriously, this poster is beautiful. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a poster so accurately capture a film’s tone. The poster itself is quite eerie and manages to convey the blend of the Prometheus and original Alien aesthetic.
The jury is still out on whether not Alien: Covenant will live up to its hype, but even if it sucks, at the very least we will have gotten this amazing poster. I’m going to need a print to put up on my wall, ASAP.
Here’s a synopsis for the film:
Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, members (Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup) of the colony ship Covenant discover what they think to be an uncharted paradise. While there, they meet David (Michael Fassbender), the synthetic survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. The mysterious world soon turns dark and dangerous when a hostile alien life-form forces the crew into a deadly fight for survival.
Alien: Covenant hits theaters May 19th. Here’s hoping that it knocks our socks off, the world is starved of a good Aliens films.
