The first season of Master of None turned out to be one of the biggest surprises of this side of the Netflix catalog. As is the case with most of Aziz Ansari’s work, Master of None was absolutely hilarious, but it was also surprisingly poignant, emotional, and introspective. Seriously, this show had almost no right to be as good as it was.
That was back in the distant past of 2015. Now, we are in the throes of 2017, and we have finally received an official trailer for season 2 of the show. Not a moment too soon, I might add.
Check it out:
Yup, that definitely looks like Master of None. Heartfelt, intimate, funny, and unexpectedly gorgeous to look at. As far as comedy TV shows go, Master of None is a visual delight.
Not only did we get a brand new trailer, but an official release date as well! Master of None returns May 12th, which is (checks calendar) just a few short weeks away! How’s that for a nice surprise?
Here’s the synopsis for season 2:
After traveling abroad, Dev (Aziz Ansari) returns to New York to take on challenges in his personal and family life, a new career opportunity, and a complex, developing relationship with someone very meaningful to him.
If you haven’t caught the first season of Master of None yet, you have a few weeks to catch up before binging season 2 next month, like the rest of us.
