I didn’t get a chance to write about the  first Baby Driver trailer, so let me get this out of the way: I am so fucking excited for this thing. I can’t tell you how long I’ve been waiting for another Edgar Wright film and with everything I’ve heard about Baby Driver, it lives up to the hype.

Now, this first trailer was pretty awesome. Somehow, this new one is even better. Check it out:

Edgar Wright is unmatched when it comes to comedy directors. His sense of pacing, editing, and foreshadowing are absolutely impeccable. I can’t wait to see how he translates those talents to a more straightforward action movie. Now, that’s not to say this movie won’t have its share of comedy, some bits from the previous trailer are hilarious.

Fellow critics of mine have described Baby Driver as Edgar Wright’s Drive, Edgar Wright’s Fast and the Furious, and Edgar Wright’s La La Land. While that might sound a little confusing to some, I can definitely see ingredients from each of those films in this latest trailer. Plus, it’s got a talented cast and super cool premise to boot. Simply put, this looks incredible.

Here’s the synopsis:

A talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. When he meets the girl of his dreams (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.

Thanks to Sony pushing up the release date, we only have to wait a couple more months to see this thing. Baby Driver hits theaters June 28th. We here are Caffeinated Film can hardly contain our excitement.
