The Cars franchise has always been viewed (rightfully so) as the weakest of Pixar’s prestigious properties. Cars 3 seems set on changing that. While the first teaser for the film proved to be traumatic for children, the newest trailer aims for a more uplifting, yet equally dramatic edge.

Now, the Cars movies are definitely not my thing. If you ask me, they’re all pretty terrible. While I’m glad Pixar is making a genuine effort to elevate the latest entry above previous films, if I’m being honest, I had trouble even finishing this trailer. It’s just not clicking for me. And I’ll never, never be able to enjoy Larry the Cable Guy in anything.
On the other hand, it’s got Nathan Fillion in it, so I guess that’s a plus.
Now, I know Cars has its fans out there, somewhere. So for those of you are into this stuff, this movie probably has you pretty excited. For me? I’m also not too into the idea of this being Pixar’s “fuck those millennials” movie. I’ll most likely be skipping this
