After years of hearing about Wes Anderson’s latest stop-motion animated film about dogs, we finally have a trailer for it. It looks like it’ll be worth the wait:

I swear to God, “darn it, I’ve got a crush on you” is the most Wes Anderson line ever spoken.

I’m always done for anything with Wes Anderson, and this looks particularly delightful. I’m glad to see him return to the world of stop-motion animation after flirting with it in Fantastic Mr. Fox. I feel the medium suits his quirky style well. Isle of Dogs looks quite stunning.

I love the angle he’s approaching this film with as well. A trash island filled with g o o d b o i s who will help a young kid find his dog? And two of those dogs is voiced by Bryan Cranston and Edward Norton? Sign me the fuck up.

Isle of Dogs hits theaters March 23rd. We here at Caffeinated Film cannot wait for it.
